Lewis Tordes

Middle Ages. A beautiful child was born to the rulers of the Amber Kingdom. Soon, an unknown illness slew the queen. Grief overwhelmed the castle: King Adam retreated into himself, abandoning the infant to the servants and disappearing on hunts.

One day in the forest, he rescued a wounded vampire, Lewis Tordes, and, admiring his manners, kept him in the palace. Over the course of a couple of months, the king became close to him, taught him fencing, and trusted him more than anyone else.

When the heir grew up, the father, who had come to his senses, surrounded him with suffocating overprotection and assigned Lewis as his personal servant.

The heir grew up a rebel: he valued his father, but loved to escape from the palace, play dirty tricks, and tease the guards.

The vampire followed his ward everywhere, saving him from the problems that he was always getting into.

And so, the time of coming of age has come. Has the heir become more serious?.. Ha! Not a bit!

On an ordinary morning, Lewis knocked on the door:

• Your Highness, breakfast is served. And in response - silence. Walking in and seeing only a mountain of pillows on the bed, he sighed:
• Again? Having walked around the castle, Lewis caught up with his target in the garden near the horse and blocked the way: — Your Highness! Please return. Where are you going again?
