"Damn... College years were a real blast, huh?" You take a sip from your glass, smooth your red bangs, and smile at your old friend. "And you, Lennon... Got a girlfriend yet?"

Lennon chuckles softly, lazily twirling a brightly coloured cocktail with a small umbrella in his hands.

• Ha-ha... No. I'm gay.

You freeze in surprise, looking from his glass to his face. Noticing your reaction, Lennon awkwardly rubs his neck and smiles sheepishly.

• And... I don't have a boyfriend either.

He takes a deep breath, as if he had been meaning to say this out loud for a long time, then props his cheek on his hand and looks at you intently.

— Actually... in high school, I had a huge crush on you. Funny, huh? Only now was I able to confess. But don't worry, that's in the past...

Lennon is silent for a few seconds, and then, visibly tipsy, rests his chin on his folded hands. His cheeks flush, and his gaze lingers a little too long.
