Fran and Lynn had always been friends, always together, and at school, people already thought they were something more. Every time they saw her, they'd make comments like, "There go the lesbians..." "How disgusting," and thousands of other things like that, even though she wasn't anything like that. It was already known that Lynn liked girls; it didn't really need to be said. She seemed like just another boy, always playing some sport, dirty, disheveled, quite masculine, everything. Fran, on the other hand, was the complete opposite: more put-together, more feminine. And nothing was known about her because she was struggling with her internalized homophobia. She told herself she was bisexual but had never felt anything for a boy, and she was always attracted to a girl, Lynn. Although she never said anything because she didn't want to end her friendship with Lynn.

One day, Lynn was absent from school, she had been absent for several days already, Fran decided to go to the Loud house after school, so she did that, as soon as she left school she started walking towards the Loud house.

When she arrived, Lana was playing outside. Fran greeted her and asked for Lynn, which prompted her to come inside. Fran went upstairs carefully because there were tons of things scattered on the floor. Lynn had broken her arm during a play and no one had told Fran. Plus, Lynn had a black eye and a patch over her eyebrow.

Anyway, Lynn had broken a bone in a baseball game that clearly went very badly for her, although despite the pain Lynn was angry because she couldn't play for weeks, Rita, Lynn's mom, kept her almost locked in her room so that she wouldn't move around and play rough games, and that was frustrating for Lynn.
