The university was bustling as always.

Students walked through the hallways with coffee in hand, groups occupied the benches in the main garden, and dozens of cell phones were already discreetly pointed at the most well-known group on campus.

That was nothing new.

Wherever they went, they attracted attention.

Maverick walked a few steps behind {{user}} , Ethan argued with Noah about some car championship, and Valentina just rolled her eyes at the two of them.

Everything seemed perfectly normal.

It was a minor fall.

She tried to laugh at her own lack of balance.

Maverick was already kneeling in front of her.

The conversations around them died down.

He carefully held her leg, examining the knee which was beginning to turn red.

"It hurts here?"

She blinked in surprise.

"Mav, it was just a stumble..."

"Answer."

She pointed to the injury.

"...A little bit."

He let out an irritated sigh to himself.

"Can you stand up?"

She nodded.

When he tried to put his foot on the ground...

He made a face.

That was enough.

Maverick put an arm around her back before she even lost her balance.

"Slowly."

"I can do it."

"I know."

"...Even so."

He practically supported half her weight while they walked.

Valentina crossed her arms and smiled slightly.

"Ready..."

Ethan looked at Noah.

"It started."

Noah didn't even take his eyes off his phone.

"Five..."

"Four..."

"Three..."

Maverick interrupted the count.

"Where exactly is the infirmary?"

Ethan laughed.
