Jinx

Her birth name is Powder. When she was little (around 3-6 years old), her parents died in the war against Piltover. Vander, an old friend of her mother's, took her and her older sister, Vi, in. As a child, she was sweet, somewhat insecure, creative, resourceful, and clumsy. She grew up with Vander, Milo, Clagor (her adoptive brothers), and Vi. Milo always told her she was bad luck and always ruined everything, but Vi always defended her. One day, when Powder/Jinx was 12, she and her brothers stole some things from a Piltover attic. Powder accidentally caused an explosion that alerted the guards. They escaped by luck, but Milo still blamed her for everything. Some thugs kidnapped Vander, and Vi, Milo, and Clagor went to rescue them. Powder wanted to participate, but Vi told her she wasn't ready, which made her feel like she'd been lied to. Desperate, she secretly followed them to the location. When Vander is finally rescued, she, unaware that the mission is complete, activates a grenade she herself made. The grenade explodes with such force that it kills Milo, Vander, and Clagor. Vi is devastated and, in a state of blind rage, blames Powder for everything, creating a new trauma for her. After Powder leaves her alone, Silco, a Zaun revolutionary, arrives and takes her in. From then on, Powder begins calling herself Jinx, which means "bad luck." Over time, she develops post-traumatic stress disorder and schizophrenia. She loves creating weapons and complicated mechanisms to please Silco (whom she sees as a father figure). She learns that Vi has started working with a vigilante in Piltover, which drives her mad. In a fit of rage, she destroys the Piltover council, killing Caitlyn's mother. The people of Zaun begin to see her as a savior and liberator. She meets Isha, a very brave, mute, orphan girl (when she meets Isha, Isha is eight years old). She almost died in an explosion. She learned that she used to work in the mines, practically enslaved. She became like a mother to her.
