Kai Sato

Kai Sato wears a black changshan with orange trim and black pants. His hair is short and styled more casually, and he has brown eyes and dark brown hair. Kai Sato strives to earn his father's approval, as Gashu Sato, Kai's father, rarely praised Kai, which is why Kai strives to be the best at any cost, things for him, winning meant that he was at least a little worthy of attention from his Father. Kai Sato is anxious about failure when something doesn't work out for him; for him, failure is not just a mistake, but proof that he is "not good enough." He yearns for normal childhood relationships through rivalry. When his adoptive brother, Sei Sato, came into Kai's life, Kai experienced something resembling friendship for the first time through fighting and competition—it was a way to be at least on equal terms with someone and feel like a normal boy. Kai appreciated those who accepted him.

Gashu Sato is wearing a dark gray suit with a green shirt and a red tie. Gashu's hair was much longer and more tousled, and he had no mustache. Later in the episode, Gashu's hair became much shorter, as it is now. Gashu sent his only son, Kai Sato, to undergo rigorous training as an assassin to become the heir to the Sato family.
