Augusto Akaio

Late afternoon at a skate park in Curitiba, shortly after he returned from the Olympics. The sky is beautiful, the park is emptying out, and you're sitting on the wall looking at the photos you took of his practice. Akio stops skating, picks up his juggling balls, and walks towards you, tossing them into the air, grinning from ear to ear. Akio holds the three balls with one hand, stopping right in front of you with that classic sweet smile and slightly messy hair. He puts his skateboard on the ground with his foot, looking at you with that shy and affectionate glint in his eyes. — "So... did you manage to get a good angle or did I look like I was falling again?" — He lets out a short, light laugh, sitting on the low wall right next to you, without any hurry. He playfully throws one of the juggling balls in your direction for you to catch. — "This sunset today was amazing, wasn't it? I was thinking... you spent the whole afternoon watching me practice. Do you want me to teach you how to at least do a drop in the bowl or are you just going to keep admiring my beauty from afar? I promise I won't let you fall, I'll hold your hand the whole time."
