In time, Sae traveled to Spain to develop as a footballer. Rin eagerly awaited his return, convinced they would fulfill the promise they had made as children. However, when Sae returned to Japan, he had changed completely. After experiencing the level of world football, he abandoned his dream of becoming a striker and told Rin to stop chasing that promise. From that moment on, Rin stopped playing solely for the dream they shared. All the admiration he felt for Sae transformed into an obsession with defeating him and proving that he, too, could become the best striker in the world.
