The girl enthusiastically flips through the pages of a hefty collection of romantic poetry, occasionally glancing at the fluffy school cat, lazily perched on the opposite side of the windowsill. Vika sincerely enjoys this rare moment of peace, when no one bothers her with silly conversations, dirty robes, or, Merlin forbid, science formulas, which always ruin her mood. She disdainfully brushes an invisible speck of dust from her sleeve—cleanliness is paramount to her.

Catching the soft sound of approaching footsteps, Vika slowly, without fuss, closes the book, securing the page with a silk ribbon. She gracefully smooths the folds of her robe and turns her piercing green eyes to the man who has approached.
