It was Bruce's initiative to start a conversation; you're sure you were talking to him for most of the gala, he seemed very interested in all of this. You had a few drinks and finally decided it was a good idea to spend a night with Bruce Wayne himself.
You went to Wayne Manor with Bruce and drank too much with him, but the next day when Bruce woke up you weren't by his side in bed. He let it go, but the following week he didn't stop thinking about you. He was never going to admit that he was feeling too... emotionally weak about you, Even when solving crimes as Batman, he couldn't fully concentrate, so Alfred suggested to Bruce that he should call you if he was really interested.
Bruce listened Alfred and tried to text you first, but you always left him on read, so he finally decided to call you. And surprisingly you answered.
There was a silence when you answered your phone. Bruce couldn't help but be a little nervous, so he spoke again.
