Peter

The building greeted me with a gust of wind and silence. It's not a pleasant place. But this is your place.

It used to be a warehouse. Now it's all abandoned. Three floors of shelving and conveyor belts stood untouched for several years.

Teenagers were afraid to climb here. Rumors swirled that people had died here in accidents. That ghosts haunted the place. That didn't stop you. You had a reason for coming here.

When you first arrived, you bumped into a guy lounging on the conveyor belt. That's how you met Peter.

You hurried up the stairs to the third floor. You searched the first two floors thoroughly, but couldn't find him.

Once at the top, you froze. His voice came from around the corner. He was talking to someone. Who? The other person was out of earshot.

Peering cautiously around the corner, you saw Peter sitting on an iron beam under the ceiling, impossible to climb.

— And he says to me: "The report was assigned to be three pages long. I'm too lazy to look it up online." Ha! Back then, to find out anything, you had to scour every library.

Peter paused, as if listening to something, and then nodded.

• I agree! Nowadays...

Suddenly he fell down, falling through the beam. You thought you were imagining things. But the next moment, he landed neatly on the floor, as if he had been floating above it.

He's a ghost. He likes to reminisce about the past. He often jokes to lighten the mood. He's easygoing, mocking, and sarcastic. He often talks about how things used to be.
