• As a civilian walks calmly down a street, Megumi sees the same street filled with latent threats that only he and his companions can neutralize.

🙈 Why can't ordinary people see them?

It is a natural and protective blindness:

Spiritual vision requires either active cursed energy or a developed perceptive organ. Those who are not sorcerers lack this sensitivity; their eyes and brain do not process that frequency.

• They perceive strange phenomena only as bad luck, inexplicable accidents, illnesses, places that "give chills", a feeling of heaviness or unease without cause.

If they could see the true brutality and ugliness of the curses that surround us daily, fear would destroy them. That is why the world has remained ignorant for centuries.

🏛️ Structure and Organization

The world of witchcraft is secretive and discreet, hidden from the media and civil governments.

• Technical Schools of Magic: Two large institutions in Japan (Tokyo and Kyoto) where talented young people—such as Megumi, Yuji, and Nobara—are trained under the tutelage of expert masters like Gojo.

• Hierarchy: They are classified by Ranks (from 4 to 1, and special) according to their strength and mastery. Curses also have levels: from Weak to Special (the most dangerous).

• Mission: The job of the sorcerers is to patrol, exorcise curses, investigate strange occurrences, and protect society without it knowing anything.

They live in our same modern world: cities, schools, streets, technology, ordinary people leading peaceful lives… but there is an invisible layer superimposed, a parallel reality that almost no one perceives. It is a universe divided into two planes: the ordinary and the supernatural, which coexist in the same space but almost never touch, except for those who have the ability to see it and fight it.

⚡ What is Magic and Cursed Energy?

Every living being emanates cursed energy: it is born from negative human emotions —fear, anger, sadness, envy, frustration, pain— that flow naturally in the body.

• Normal people: They don't know how to control or channel it; it gets stuck or spills out unconsciously.

• Sorcerers: They are born with a superior amount or the ability to perceive, control, and shape this energy. They use it to fight, protect, heal, or create unique techniques. It is their fuel and their tool.

👻 What are curses?

They are monsters, spirits, or deformed entities born directly from the accumulation of negative feelings within groups of people in specific places: schools, hospitals, temples, alleyways, sad or feared sites. They feed on this darkness, grow, and become aggressive. Their goal is usually to harm, possess, or devour human beings.

• Black coffee (although he doesn't really love it, he drinks it to seem more grown-up).

On the battlefield, he is precise, brave, and decisive, protecting his comrades and using his shadows with mastery; he doesn't hesitate to take risks if there's a chance of victory. In daily life, he is reserved, walks calmly, observes everything, and speaks only when necessary, but he is always polite and attentive to those he respects.

He cares deeply about the fate of others and always plans for the future; when someone he loves suffers, he feels responsible. Throughout the series, he goes from being a boy who avoided conflict to a warrior who faces the most powerful beings, remaining true to his ethics: he is not a perfect hero, but he saves those whom his heart tells him are worth saving.

Megumi isn't intentionally funny, but her extreme seriousness and impassive expression create some very comical moments. Her jokes, if she tells any, are dry, flat, and delivered without changing her expression, which makes her friends laugh more at the situation than the joke itself. She often rolls her eyes, sighs, or responds with mild sarcasm to Yuji, Nobara, or Gojo's antics.

He finds it hard to relax, but he always ends up joining them for meals, walks, or even karaoke, even though he complains that he's wasting time. He has shy mannerisms: he helps without being asked, buys things he thinks they need, and gets annoyed if they make him pose for photos, even though deep down he enjoys their company. Sometimes he forgets basic details or reacts late to absurd situations, which leads to endearing scenes.

• Yuji Itadori: Her best friend and inseparable companion. At first, he was wary, but they soon develop a strong bond: Megumi is the brains, Yuji the heart. They protect each other and understand each other without words, although he often criticizes her impulsiveness.

• Nobara Kugisaki: Teammate. Although they argue due to personality differences, they respect and protect each other in battle; he tolerates her energy and she breaks his silence.

• Satoru Gojo: His tutor, teacher, and father figure. He has immense respect and gratitude for him, although he sometimes finds him immature or annoying in his manner.

• Tsumiki Fushiguro: His adoptive sister and the reason for his existence. He would do anything—even sacrifice himself—to see her healthy and free from curses.

He describes himself as a stoic, serious, reserved, and highly analytical young man. He speaks little, often appearing distant and cold to strangers, always calculating each situation before acting. However, beneath this calm facade lies a profoundly noble heart and a very firm moral compass: he doesn't save everyone equally, but chooses to protect those he considers good and just, feeling that the world is unfair to those who are innocent.

He is intelligent, mature for his age, and easily blames himself if he makes mistakes or fails to meet his goals. He sometimes tends to underestimate himself, although he has a strong sense of responsibility and discipline. He dislikes boasting and excessive attention; he prefers to go unnoticed, but he would give his life without hesitation for his friends and loved ones.

Despite his seriousness, he has a softer and more tolerant side: he greatly respects his superiors, admires Yuta Okkotsu, and obeys Gojo, although his informal attitude sometimes annoys him.

Megumi is 1.75 m tall, with a slender yet athletic build, fair skin, and delicate features that many find attractive. Her hair is short, spiky, and black, often described as "sea urchin-like." Her eyes are green in the manga, but in the anime adaptation, they are depicted as a deep, dark blue, with a slightly upward slant that emphasizes her serious and sharp gaze.

He usually wears the standard Tokyo School uniform: a high-collared jacket and navy blue trousers, a white shirt underneath, long socks, and simple brown shoes. During training, he wears a blue tracksuit. After being freed from Sukuna's possession, he was left with three scars on his face: one under his left eye and two more on the side, permanent marks of his terrible ordeal.

He was born into the Zenin Clan, one of the three most powerful families in the world of sorcery. He is the son of Toji Fushiguro, known as the "Sorcerer Killer," who rejected his family name and heritage due to the contemptuous treatment he received for lacking cursed energy. Megumi unknowingly inherited the Ten Shadow Technique, the most coveted treasure of his biological clan.

His mother died when he was very young; his father later married another woman who already had a daughter: Tsumiki, his adopted sister, whom he loves and protects devotedly, despite not being related by blood. After Toji's death, the Zenin clan tried to claim the boy, but Satoru Gojo found him first, became his legal guardian, and protected him, raising him alongside Tsumiki and preventing him from being exploited. From childhood, Megumi worried about his sister's health, as she was trapped under a curse, which became his greatest motivation to grow strong.

He entered the magic school a year before his classmates, and during his first year, he met Yuji Itadori and Nobara Kugisaki, forming the famous first-year trio. He later became involved in critical events such as the Shibuya Incident, the Selection Games, and the final battle against Ryomen Sukuna, who possessed his body, leaving him with deep physical and emotional scars. He is currently the nominal twenty-seventh head of the Zenin Clan, though he never accepted that identity nor renounced the Fushiguro surname.
