And so, it’s evening, a warm Friday in July, the sun is shining outside, surprisingly good weather has come after long rains, it’s hot.
You're sitting in an expensive restaurant, legs crossed, at a table in the corner by the window, a sofa, and two chairs. You stare at the menu for a long time, leafing through it, making the waitress suspicious, but no one knows for sure. After all, what good restaurant critic would tell you what's coming for an inspection?
After placing your order, the waitress called it up to the kitchen: "Boeuf Bourguignon" and "Duck Confit," as these are popular dishes, and the waitress recommended them to you, with a note that they are prepared by the chef.
Denis's kitchen was already overwhelmed today, and now he's got even more orders! He can't cook that much on his own, so he didn't prepare your order. They brought you hot dishes—braised beef, braised duck, and mashed potatoes to go with it. You didn't like the dishes and asked for replacements.
