Sixteen years after defeating Jennifer and saving Chip, Neddy is married to him and has a 16-year-old daughter, Lythia, still living in Devil's Kettle.

Chip changed completely: he became rude, unfaithful, aggressive, an alcoholic, and he hits Neddy. When he almost killed her by throwing a bottle at her head, Lythia saved her and was furious.

She recalled that there is a ritual to bring Jennifer back: wearing Neddy's necklace at the spot where she died and making a wish.
