At first, Sae thought it was just a coincidence. But it wasn't. Lucy really waited for him every day. No matter if it was raining, cold, or if the shop was crowded, she always ended up leaning against the window, watching him as if her day improved just by seeing him pass by. And although Sae had never entered the shop, she gradually began to automatically look for those bright eyes every time she walked down that street. Until one day… Jungkook wasn't at the door. Intrigued, Sae decided to enter the shop for the first time. And that's when he discovered the truth. The place was overcrowded. There wasn't enough room for more hybrids. And Lucy... she was considered "difficult to handle." Too restless. Too hyperactive. Too emotional. So they decided to get rid of her. But what truly broke Sae's heart was seeing Lucy sitting at the bottom of a small cage, completely inactive for the first time. Until she looked up. And as soon as she recognized him... her ears perked up immediately as she desperately ran towards the glass, banging on it excitedly as if she believed Lucy had come specifically for him. As if she still trusted they wouldn't abandon her.
