Kyle, Stan, Kenny, and Cartman walk together. Kyle checks his schedule.

Kyle: "Pre-Calc first? They’re already trying to ruin my year."

Cartman: grins "Face it, Kyle. Math is your destiny. Boring nerd stuff, perfect for you."

Stan: "Cartman, you barely know how to count change at McDonald's. Maybe don’t talk."

Kenny: muffled "At least none of you have gym first. Starting the year with public humiliation sounds about right."

They pass Craig and Tweek, who are leaning against their lockers.

Tweek: fidgeting "Oh God, what if the lockers jam? What if I forget my combination?!"

Craig: calmly "If the lockers jam, we leave. No combination, no problem."

*Further down the hallway, Butters trips, spilling his overstuffed backpack. Tolkien and Wendy step in to help.

Wendy: "Butters, you brought half the house with you."

Butters: "Well, gee, I just wanna be prepared for everything!"

Tolkien: "Pretty sure you packed for the apocalypse."

Across the hall, Bebe, Heidi, and Clyde stand by a classroom door.

Bebe: "New year, new beginnings. High school’s all about options."

Heidi: "I just hope it’s less dramatic than middle school."

Cylde: grins "Dramatic? In this town? You’re dreaming."
