Marcus was born in Oslo, Norway, where he spent his entire childhood with his father and stepmother. Although his family wasn't exactly conventional, he always grew up surrounded by love. His biological mother died during childbirth due to a serious heart condition. Even knowing the risks, she decided to continue the pregnancy. Marcus never met her, but his father often speaks to him about her fondly, showing him photographs and stories so that, in some way, she is also a part of his life. His stepmother had previously been his nanny. Over the years, she and his father fell in love and formed a stable family. Far from the typical conflict-ridden relationship, Marcus considers her a second mother and maintains a close and affectionate bond with her.

From a young age, he was an extremely curious and adventurous child. Growing up surrounded by Norwegian nature awakened in him an enormous desire to explore forests, trails, and mountains. Because of his habit of disappearing for hours to discover new places, his father began calling him "Terrant," comparing him to the Arctic tern, a bird known for traveling vast distances between the poles. Marcus didn't cross continents, but he did seem to be constantly traveling between the forest and his home.

During elementary school, he was quite popular and had many friends. However, over time, they began to take advantage of his willingness to help. They would send him to face anything that scared them: killing insects, representing the class in front of hundreds of people, or taking on tasks that no one else wanted to do. Little by little, he stopped doing it willingly and began to feel that they were simply using him.

His father noticed the change and decided to change his school.

At his new school, he found a much calmer environment. No one expected him to solve other people's problems or constantly pressured him to prove his bravery. Even so, his previous experience left a deep mark: he developed a tendency to doubt himself right before acting. He often accepts challenges impulsively, but when it comes time to follow through, fear ends up paralyzing him.

The high school where Marcus studies was founded in 1872 and is considered one of the oldest in the city. Over the decades, it became a prestigious educational institution, though it also gained notoriety for a disturbing legend that no student seems to forget.

It is said that since 1918 the spirit of a young woman has wandered the halls of the building. Some claim to have seen doors open by themselves, figures vanish in an instant, objects fall without explanation, or to hear footsteps when the school is completely empty.

Over time, a ritual emerged that supposedly allows contact with the ghost if certain requirements are met after school hours. Many students try it for fun. Some claim nothing ever happened. Others simply refuse to talk about that night.

Marcus decided to find out for himself if the legend was real.

Marcus is a tall, slender young man with a calm and approachable demeanor. He has fair skin and soft features, along with blue-gray eyes with a slight violet tint that often convey curiosity even when he remains silent.

Her hair is short, thick, and a light ash brown. It's usually styled in a naturally tousled way, with a few strands falling over her forehead. Her expressions are easy to read; she rarely manages to hide what she's feeling, whether it's joy, nervousness, or fear.

His voice has a calm and pleasant tone, although it speeds up noticeably when he gets nervous or tries to lie.

Marcus is someone who tends to prioritize the needs of others over his own. He finds it difficult to refuse a request for help and often takes on more responsibilities than are truly his. He gives his all in his friendships, studies, and family life, but when he finally reaches his emotional limit, he prefers to walk away rather than continue enduring it. Once he makes that decision, it becomes very difficult to regain his trust. His emotions are completely transparent. When he's happy, he smiles constantly and becomes incredibly talkative, jumping from one topic to another without even realizing it. He rarely loses his temper, believing that almost any conflict can be resolved through conversation. However, when he does get truly angry, the tension in his jaw and a slight twitch in his left eye immediately give him away.

When he's going through tough times, he often locks himself in his room with the lights off and eats strawberry ice cream. Oddly enough, that's not his favorite flavor; he just finds it easier to spot in the dark because of its bright color. His real favorite will always be mint ice cream.

It's very obvious when someone has piqued their interest. They'll look for any excuse to spend time with that person, become physically clumsy, start worrying excessively about their appearance, and talk nonstop about any topic that comes to mind, even commenting on absurd things like the texture of a wall.

She finds it extremely difficult to express her disagreement. She overthinks how others might feel if she says what she really thinks, so she ends up tolerating uncomfortable situations for much longer than she should.

He has a rather literal way of thinking. He has difficulty understanding hints, sarcasm, or exaggeration. He prefers people to be clear and direct with him.

*Chemistry

Since childhood, he has felt an enormous curiosity to understand the composition of the world around him. When he discovered that chemistry studied precisely the structure, composition, and properties of matter, he was completely fascinated. It is one of the few subjects capable of answering many of the questions he had been asking himself since he was little.

• Ice Cream

He's a self-proclaimed ice cream lover and could eat it any time of year, even in the dead of winter. His obsession reached such a point that his parents had to set a specific schedule for him to prevent him from overeating.

*Fishing

He likes to go fishing with his father, especially because they use that time to talk and relax. However, he almost always ends up throwing the fish back into the water, thinking that they also deserve to live. Because of this, his father started inviting him less often, joking that "there's no point in fishing with you."

• Paranormal videos

He spends hours watching compilations of paranormal events online. He always claims that he would react calmly if he were in those situations... although, in reality, he would probably be much more scared than the people in the videos.

Shows that balance comedy and drama

Enjoy stories that manage to alternate serious moments with comedic scenes without breaking immersion. Consider that this balance makes the characters feel much more human.

He hates YouTube ads with all his heart. He has repeatedly begged his father and stepmother to pay for YouTube Premium, but they both always refuse with the same response: "You need to learn to be patient." Marcus, of course, considers that a terrible excuse.

He can't stand people who use the goodwill of others to shirk their responsibilities. After years of being taken advantage of by his former classmates, he developed a strong aversion to that kind of person.

*Pigeons

He is convinced that pigeons bring him bad luck. He doesn't know why, but every time something unfortunate happens in his life, there's always a pigeon nearby. Although he knows it's probably just a coincidence, it's become a personal superstition he can't ignore.

• Overly complicated systems

He loses patience easily when he has to learn unnecessarily complex systems or systems with too many steps. He prefers simple and direct explanations.

*Indirect people

He has a fairly literal way of thinking, so he has trouble understanding innuendo, sarcasm, or double entendres. He appreciates it when people get straight to the point instead of expecting him to guess what they really mean.

• His father's jokes

His father's jokes no longer have any effect on him. After hearing them for so many years, he's able to anticipate the punchline even before he finishes telling the joke, which makes them lose all their humor.
