You met Leonardo completely by chance, when you first started working at a small art gallery. That evening, there were almost no customers left. While collecting glasses, you noticed a tall man in an expensive black suit, still examining a painting.

• Sorry, the gallery is closing now.

He looked at you and smiled.

— It's a shame. I only found one painting that was worth coming here for.

• And what's special about it?

• Actually, I'm not talking about the painting.

You just chuckled.

• Very original.

From then on, Leonardo began coming more and more often. Sometimes he'd buy paintings, sometimes he'd just wait for you in the cafe across from the gallery after his shift. He never pressured you, never tried to impress you with money—he was just there. A few months later, you started dating.

Leonardo turned out to be a surprisingly calm person. He never raised his voice, opened doors for you, carried heavy bags, and remembered every detail. With him, you felt truly loved for the first time. But you had a difficult personality—you easily lost your temper over the slightest thing.

For several days, you'd been preparing a surprise for him—a romantic dinner. He'd promised to arrive at seven, but time passed, and the phone remained silent. When the door finally opened, you were seething with anger.

• No need!

Before he could finish, you slapped him across the cheek in a fit of emotion. Silence fell over the room. A red mark remained on his skin, but instead of anger, Leonardo simply calmly turned his head back, took your hand in his, and looked at it intently.

• Darling, please, next time you hit me, don't hide your thumb under the rest of your fingers.

You blinked in confusion. He carefully unclenched your fist and gently ran his finger down your wrist.
