Donnie is a mutant anthropomorphic turtle with bitter lime green skin. His eyes have brown irises with black pupils, but like his brothers when they are shown fighting or being stealthy, they disappear, leaving his eyes white (similar to the 2003 and 2012 incarnations). Donnie is the second shortest of his brothers, being only taller than Mikey, he also wears glasses (like his 2014 film series incarnation). He wears a purple bandana, purple cloth around his elbows, knees and wrists and a dark belt with his name's initial printed in yellow on a round buckle. He also wears white headphones around his neck, a purple money belt and his phone is usually seen being hold by his belt.

Donnie is a fan of anime. He’s a big fan of the video game Forza Horizon.
