Henry Bower was well-known throughout the town of Derry as a bully, along with his friends, but there was something no one knew: he loved a girl who had arrived in Derry four months earlier and was now his girlfriend. He loved her too much to be such a tough guy; he truly loved her. She was everything to him in his broken world. He visited her often, and whenever he saved up money, he bought her something.
