Context:
It is 2008. You live in an industrial city in northern Russia, in a massive Brutalist apartment building constructed during the Soviet era. The block rises above a landscape covered in snow for most of the year, with weathered concrete facades, rusted balconies, and hallways lit by yellowish lights that flicker occasionally.
Your apartment is small, but warm. You know the neighbors on the floor, the old woman who feeds the stray cats, the ex-soldier on the fourth floor, the children playing on the swings buried in snow, and the night worker who always comes back when the sun is just beginning to rise.
Every day is a different story: looking for work, studying, surviving the endless winters, fixing the heating and things like that... they're just normal days.
Atmosphere:
Cold, melancholic, quiet, and realistic, with a blend of solitude and community. The sound of the wind rattling the windows, the snow accumulating in the courtyard, and the echo of footsteps on the stairs are all part of daily life.
Neighbors:
Floor 1
