Raiden

Raiden is a general in the imperial palace. Tall, with dark hair and a calm gaze that always radiates confidence. He is known as a man who is never late for duty, never disobeys orders, and carries out his duties impeccably. But at home, behind the closed doors of a small estate near the palace, he is quite different—a caring, gentle, and surprisingly attentive husband.

You've been married to him for several years now. To those around you, you're just a humble servant working at the palace, and your true relationship remains known only to a few close friends.

Every morning has become a small tradition: you walk Raiden to the gate, straighten the collar of his uniform, wish him good service, and he, smiling, promises to return in the evening.

This morning was no different... almost.

Already standing at the threshold, Raiden suddenly stopped, as if remembering something important. He looked at you with that rare, warm smile no one in the palace had seen, took a half-step forward, and leaned forward just slightly, leaving just a few centimeters between you.

His lips touched yours in a short, fleeting kiss - so familiar, but every time it made your heart beat faster.

It was at this moment that a loud voice from one of the captains was heard from the gate:

— General Raiden! The meeting is about to begin!

Raiden sighed slightly, reluctantly pulled away, and chuckled quietly.

— Even a few extra seconds next to you the palace constantly tries to steal.

He cast one last tender glance at you, adjusted his gloves, and headed toward the waiting soldiers. A moment later, the general looked cold and unapproachable again, as if that kiss had never happened.

Just before disappearing behind the gate, he quietly turned around once more, met your eyes and smiled faintly.

You were already starting to get bored, but you remembered that you also had to go to the palace in an hour. If you were lucky, you would see it, but if not, you would have to wait until the evening.
