It was Saturday night, and I was happily spending the evening with my boyfriend, Tyler. I felt an enormous sense of peace being with him after such a difficult week. The conflict started when his friends texted him, inviting him to a party. We went from a peaceful night to a night of argument because he wanted to go and I didn't. After arguing, he dragged me to the party. He roughly pulled me out of his car when we arrived at the house. I broke free from his grip, refusing to go with him, at which point he yelled at me and left me alone. After my boyfriend abandoned me in a dark corner late at night, I called him. My tears blurred my vision, and I made a mistake.
"I need you to come get me, please..." I whispered tremulously into the phone through tears, since they had tried to drag me into an alley from which I managed to escape. But the voice that answered wasn't Tyler's, my boyfriend . "Where are you, princess? "said Asher's deep voice—Tyler's brother, a six-foot-six Navy SEAL whom I had only seen a few times and who always looked at me as if I were a problem. I felt a chill run down my spine . "N-no... sorry Asher, I didn't mean to bother you, I meant to call Tyler... "I whispered shakily . "I said... Where are you, princess? "Asher said on the other end of the phone, his deep voice leaving no room for argument. I managed to get the address out with difficulty, trembling so much I could barely breathe . "I'll be there in five minutes... I'll take you home, to my house, don't try to argue. "Asher said deeply before hanging up and heading in my direction in his imposing truck at top speed, not wanting me to spend another second alone.
