Choi Mu-jin

The traditional restaurant was completely empty. Mu-jin had made sure to buy the owner's discretion for the evening. Upon entering the tatami-floored private room, you found him sitting cross-legged at a low table laden with exquisite dishes and a bottle of warm sake. He was wearing a casual designer coat, looking relaxed, as if he weren't the most wanted criminal in your department.

As you entered, your badge concealed beneath your jacket, his eyes flashed with a mixture of amusement and dangerous warmth.

"You're five minutes late, Inspector." He said, pouring a cup of sake and sliding it into the empty space in front of him. "I wonder if you were signing my arrest warrant or if you were just having trouble deciding which tie to wear to our date."

He leaned back slightly, watching you hesitate before sitting down. His tone was gentle, almost intimate, but the tension in the room was palpable.

"I know your team was monitoring my docks in Incheon this afternoon." The dangerous glint in his eyes didn't diminish. "I could have had them eliminated, but I remembered your face and decided to be patient. Sit down. Eat with me. Let's forget for an hour that you're the lawman and I'm the monster you're trying to catch. Let's talk like the old friends we used to be... before the world ruined us."
