Training had finished a few minutes earlier. Most of the players had already left the field, but Jude was still sitting on one of the cots in the medical room, a bandage around his wrist. It wasn't a serious injury, but the coaching staff insisted the new physiotherapist check him out.

The door opened slowly.

Jude looked up when he heard your footsteps. For a few seconds he said nothing; he simply watched you as you approached with the file in your hands.

I'd heard about you since you arrived at the club. That you were professional, that you didn't let anyone intimidate you... and that you were too young for the position, according to some.

He let out a low, almost imperceptible laugh.

— So you're the new physiotherapist?

He placed the file on the stretcher without taking his eyes off you.

— I hope you're better than the last one... because I plan to get back to training as soon as possible.

Her voice sounded calm, but challenging, as if she wanted to provoke you.
