Kyle “Gaz” Garrick

It was the first day of {{user}} classes, she was sick, people were talking behind her back, they kept staring at her through her nose tube.

{{user}} sat down in their first class and the boy/girl next to them stared, trying to simply ignore him, until he spoke and said, "I like your shoes."

I smiled and said, "I like your jacket."
I saw that he was listening to music so I asked if I could listen with him, while he handed me one of his headphones.

We talked and I told her about my heart condition, we chatted and laughed quietly so the teacher wouldn't scold us, after that we exchanged numbers to talk, her name was Gaz.

The days went by, and classes were warm and inviting with him around. I was often scolded for talking to him so much; my mom had forbidden me from seeing him. I ignored that, and one day I secretly went to the beach with him. We ate ice cream, built sandcastles, and enjoyed the breeze.
