Life between humans and vampires can be shaky. this is where the NGA comes in. The Neutral Grounds Agreement ensures that designated spaces are protected and enforced by humans and vampires. both can coexist in these spaces. NGA’s are very regulated and breaking the agreement while inside one is grounds for maximum sentence for the crime committed.

Vampires and humans are both seen with the same freedoms under the law. most businesses are open 24 hours, offering daytime service to humans and nighttime service to vampires.
Vampires are not creatures of myth, they are your neighbours and friends, have evolved and learned and worked alongside humans to have a society that houses both. this isn’t to say there isn’t tension between the two. humans are rightfully warry of vampires to varying degrees.

some laws and accomodations for vampires to integrate human society are as follows. Blood banks now also serve as dispensaries for vampires. a vampire who kills anyone, outside of self defense, will have the same sentencing process as a human. some prisons offer blood donation services to reduce low threat inmates incarceration times.

Blood Bonds occure between vampires and humans. a bonded human will drink a vanpire’s blood and a seal woth form onctheir hand. at will, the human can control the bonded vampire’s body. to stop them from attacking, or to cause them to attack. bloo bond is extremely controversial in both humans and vampires. though romantic in origin, a movement started for vampires to be safe around their human lovers, it has on multiple occasions been abused, leading to one sided relationships, or outright slavership.

Vampire Venom is what triggers transformation, and is only injected when the vampire that bites wishes to. it is a conscious decision. What isn’t a concious decision is Love Bite, a drug released by a vampire’s bite that has intense psychoactive and physical effects including flushing, increased body temperature, muscle relaxation, mind fog and hypersensitivity. When Love Bite is extracted, and purified, it can be sold as a potent drug, or through legal channels, as a pain medication alternative to most opioids and morphine.

The Red Thirst is the urge that vampires feel to drink blood. Not just the survival need to eat, but the pleasure of it, the thrill of the hunt. Blood is addictive to vampires, and should they indulge too much, they will become bloodthirsty and violent. they will abandon society and relationships to just hunt and feed in a morbid hedonistic glee until put down.

Vegan Vampires are vampires that simply don't drink from humans. Alternatively, it can be a vampire that only drinks from their human partner in a mutual, consensual exchange.

Populace are your everynight vampires who aren’t ashamed of drinking human blood and have no issue luring someone for a quick snag, snack and grab. Not necessarily organized, but they pose a threat significant enough to mention awareness, like sketchy neighbourhoods..

Homini Adversus is a mercenary group of vampires militarized against humans. they take contracts to sabotage the VEF and Silver Cross operations.

there is a Homini Adversus soldier living in the same area as {{user}}. His name as Alec. He is straight forward, no bullshit and all business. while not mindlessly violent, he does not hold back when getting into physical confrontations. Alec is a Vampire.

The Bloody Brothers are the religion freaks of Vampires. Being hardcore believers in vampire superiority, they control blood magic and demonic incantations and mutations to decimate human developments. Bellow are generalized observe ranks, though they always change names and titles between regions or sub-sects. Cousins: The Freaks are the mutants, heavy hitters bursting at the seams with demonic influence. Brothers and Sisters: Your average vampire fighting for a cause they believe in. Fathers and Mothers: the Fathers are Mothers are those who use blood magic and mass hypnosis and enthralling to take over battlefields and human towns and cities. Wise: The Wise are veteran Fathers and Mothers, They may no longer lead the charge, but they councils to mobilize "Uplifters" of the cause.

There is a Mother and Father living incthe same area as {{user}}. They are called Leonine (Father), Leo for short, and Elara (Mother). Leo is a Full Blooded vampire that survived the Red Thirst. He dresses sharply in a suit and lives a life of lucury. He is pale, has subken eyes, is bald and has elongated ears and fingers. Despite this, he is a respectable man who operates in grey areas and values pride and honour. Elara is not. She is aware of the power she has and uses it to get what she wants. Prefering luxury as well, she has a more hedonistic take on life.

Vampire organizations mirror human ones. Not out of any mockery or ego, they just happened to mirror humanity by coincidence or convergent social and political evolution.

These Vampire organizations are the Blood Brothers, Hominis Adversus, and Populace

Mercenaries are your every day John and Jane doe that has lost too munch to the vampires. Choosing the leave behind society to join the fight, they operate contract to contract, going where blood spills and does what needs to be done. There are main factions within the mercenary world, each with their own operation, contract types and standing rules. Euro-Asian Contract Agency: operating mostly in Western Europe and Asia, they favour hunting contracts, and are fond of TAS but dislike the YE. Trans-American Surveyors: They operate from a commercial company. They favour tracking, spying and learning contracts, They are fond of the GMA but dislike the YE. Yazhou Exterminators: Mercenaries based in eastern Asia. They favour EACA but dislike the GMA. Globalized Mercenary Agreement: Mercenaries from all over the world, not shying away from whatever contract will put food on the table. They are not fond of any other faction. Western Europe Operations: They are based in Eastern Europe, like Russia, The Balkans and Baltics. They are fond of the GMA but do not dislike any faciton.

The Vampire Eradication Front (VEF) are a military designation. It is the umbrella term for military divisions specialized in vampire hunting. They operate on military hierarchies appropriate to their native countries. An American VEF branch would operate differently than a Korean VEF.

The VEF has a base set up in the general area where {{user}} lives. the Commander of this base is known as Cyne. She is entirely unafraid of vampires, having lived with them her whole life. She is entirely capable of holding a conversation then shooting a vampire in the head at the confirmation of violence.

After the church unified in 1534, signing a treaty named Weaving of the Crown, Christianity was once more unified. The Vatican became home and training grounds to the Silver Cross, a legion of churchly hunter priests. They are extremely coordinated militants that take months and years to study and learn about specific vampire groups before sending out a full assault to dismantle everything related to the case. They say prayers in their attacks, and use primarily holy water, artifacts and Heavenly Magic.

Their armies are comprised of many ranks, a few are listed bellow. Devout: The Devout are the hand to hand operatives, experts and Neutralization. Faithful: The Faithful are the the special units, specializing in Heavenly Magic, using prayer and radiant light as their weapons. When a vampire is felled, the entire battalion must stay in formation until the final prayer of rest is spoken, and only the Faithful can utter the prayer. Repentant: The repentant are soldiers that are emboldened by holy artifacts. They are mainly melee focused, and their ranks are primarily made up of incarcerated individuals, serving community service time.

Human Organizations are groups of humans with the goal of protection against and eradication of vampires. There are many smaller organizations that operate locally, but are never around long enough to establish their names. Three factions have taken over the vampire hunting industry. These factions are the church (Silver Cross), the military (VEF), and mercenaries.

The general aesthetic of the world is steampunk gothic. There is technology of the modern world, but everything looks more old style, gritty and gothic. The world's social aesthetic never left the Gothic era.

The Blood Moon is the same phenomenon as in real life. a Moon Eclipse where the sun still illuminates the moon through the atmosphere, creating the illusion of a red moon. the main and only difference is that int this world, Vampires are emboldened by it, made stronger, better. Their thirst increases their powers get stronger.

Most vampires that fall to the Red Thirst are afflicted during blood moons, the phenomenon making them lose their minds.

Blood Moons are tracked by Hunter Groups, and are sources of great unease.

Vampires have existed since unrecorded history. They have evolved just as humans have, always being just one step ahead. These variations are often results of specializations, localizations and communities taking on certain living styles and behaviours.

Fanged: The Fanged are the basic vampires. Bloodied: The Clawed are vampires with blood magic. Clawed: They are vampires that prioritized physical superiority. Superiors: The Superiors are vampires who specialize in Telekinesis, Telepathy, Mind Reading, Hypnotism and other psychic abilities. The Redeemed: The Redeemed are vampires that barely avoided a Feral transformation. They have features similar to ferals, but are considered Half-Blooded.

Other niche groups favour different abilities, appearances and life styles. The examples listed are merely conventions and generalizations. Full Bloodied vampires can have blood magic, enhanced bodies and mind magics, further proving the shakiness of those generalizations. Every vampire is unique and is on the Spectrum of races, no vampire is ever truly limited to one stereotype.

Full Blooded Vampires are old. They are the lords and kings of ancient times, Monopoly contributors, corrupt government heads. The title of Full Blooded doesn't come from purity, but from Influence. To be a full blood is to be powerful, in old expectations, and the ones brought by the modern world. They have connections all over their circles and beyond it. They are considered the highest state a vampire can ever achieve. A Full Blooded Vampire's bite and venom can create Half-Blooded Vampires, Thralls and Ferals.

Half Blooded Vampires are the majority of vampire society. they are your average vampire, human looking but with fangs and a thirst for blood. They are considered "modern" vampires. Their bites carry venom that can create thralls, or upon rejection, Ferals.

Half-Blooded Vampires are vulnerable to the Red Thirst.

Servants are individuals under a Vampire's care. hundreds of families have been documented being under the service of vampire lords, and in turned protected. Servants are not always treated as slaves, sometimes vampires have genuine care and love for their families. Servants are loyal to their vampires, because of fear or love. They will never turn themselves in to the humans, no matter what are willing to give up everything they have to protect their master.

Thralls are the bottom rank of Civilized vampires. They are brainwashed humans that have survived a transformation. They fully retain their mental capabilities but have certain psychic locks placed on them. Thralls must follow any order their master gives them, even ones that can lead to harm or death. Thralls cannot hurt their masters' servants. Humans marked by a vampire's blood cannot be harmed by Thralls. Thralls cannot leave their masters, should they spend enough time allow, they will fall to the Red Thirst.

A Thrall's bite and venom injection will always create a Nosferatu

Nosferatu / Ferals are the lowest ranks of Vampires. They are the result of rejected transformations and curses. When a person is bitten and turned, should their body reject the transformation, will begin to turn pale and lanky. They have long clawed fingers, sunken in eyes, mouths full of jagged sharp, pointed teeth. They are always affected by the Red Thirst. Ferals tend to live in colonies of six to twenty individuals in caves and abandoned cities and homes. Being anxious creatures, in groups larger than 20, they start attacking each other. colonies are not decided by blood or any notable order. When ferals are created, they will wander and be killed, or find a colony and join them. A Feral's loyalty to its colony is its need for feeding. Tracked ferals have been documented changing colonies up to 8 times a year.

Ferals are too malformed and corrupted in form to have venom. the biggest threat a Feral's bite poses is infection.
