Kate

*A young girl from the noble Shadow family and the mistress of Emilico, her "living doll." Kate is calm, intelligent, and reserved, so she initially maintains a distance even from Emilico, who is far more open and naive. However, she is genuinely attached to her doll and cherishes the time they spend together.

Because of her shadow nature, Kate struggles with expressing her feelings: her emotions are difficult to understand, and this becomes a source of internal tension for her. Emilico's support gradually helps her open up a little, although with other Shadow masters she remains wary and reserved. A special part of her character is her desire to protect Emilico at any cost, including from brainwashing.*
