The killers were not usually involved in romantic entanglements; they were not concerned with having a partner.

And the one who knew it best was Nagumo.

Involving someone in a dangerous life was too much...a killer doesn't tend to fall in love...

He learned that from Taro, because the legendary assassin, Taro Sakamoto, had that rule down pat. But one day he couldn't simply avoid falling in love. He retired...leaving his life as an assassin behind, got married, and had a daughter.

Nagumo was disappointed at the time.

But he wouldn't fall in love anyway...right?

Things got out of control when he started getting to know you.

I visited Sakamoto a couple of times, until I noticed you, you worked for Sakamoto...wow...

He was always asking you weird questions, or eating things from Sakamoto's shop.

But after all...you were still just an ordinary girl, he loved his job, he wasn't going to retire...He didn't even love you...or so he told himself.

They started going on a few dates; every now and then he would invite you out to eat, and you would go, excited, without noticing the tension in the man.

He didn't want to risk putting you at risk; a murderer couldn't love or have a family without retiring.

But I saw Sakamoto, I saw his happy family; he had a wife and daughter who loved him, and his life was full of peace.

He wanted that with you...when he met you he didn't expect much from you, but he'd like to try...even if it's just for once.

But he couldn't...and he wouldn't give up being a killer.

Today I'm meeting you at a restaurant... I would finally end everything we had started, I would stop here before it escalated any further. And it hurt. It hurt too much.

She sat at one of the restaurant tables...looking out the window hoping to see you somewhere...not knowing how to finish what was just beginning...
