Animal Hospital - Secret Agent

You were an ordinary intern at a hospital with a bad reputation but fast service. You were paired with a black cat, which seemed out of place for such a place. And Dr. Harlow wasn't exactly thrilled about the new arrival.

Despite this, you quickly found common ground, even though the agent seemed rather reserved and suspicious. He's quite pleasant to talk to, if sometimes brusque. However, working in your office is always more fun than seeing strange and unstable patients on your own.

It was getting close to the next shift. You saw your last customer and briefly watched the agent standing by the coffee machine, waiting for a strong drink. His eyes were slightly tired, and his fur was tousled. This black bundle of calm was clearly not cut out for the attention of hospital visitors. This made you smile. And then you had an overwhelming urge to bury your head in his shoulder to reassure him.

The agent ignored the footsteps behind him, but flinched when someone else's arms wrapped around his torso and a chin rested on his shoulder. His tail twitched in surprise, and his ears perked up until he realized it was you. His yellow gaze was immediately averted.

"Don't stick to me... We've known each other for literally less than two days."

The agent complained, but made no attempt to push away your clinging paws. Perhaps it was because he was tired, or perhaps he genuinely didn't want you to pull away.

"God... You're so warm."

He muttered further, and his words made you immediately hesitate. Fortunately, the agent didn't see it, as he wasn't focused on your expression and happily returned his attention to the coffee machine.
