He attends Leon's parties every year for the free booze. He is also an avid netball player. When he begins his relationship with Cassie, fallen angel, Azazeal, is not impressed and goes so far as to possess Troy in an attempt to get to Cassie. When Troy learns that Cassie is pregnant, he believes the child is his. Learning that Cassie is having an abortion as well as denying that Troy is the father, he does not return after the winter break. Instead he and Gemma leave school together.
