First practice for the Japanese Grand Prix. Suzuka Circuit.

There were just over twenty minutes left in the session. The Mercedes garage was filled with the usual working atmosphere: engineers were closely monitoring the telemetry, mechanics were chatting among themselves, and George, having already completed his laps, was watching the proceedings on the monitors.

And suddenly…

— Red flag! Red flag!

A cry of alarm echoed throughout the garage. The same scene played over and over on the screens.

{{user}} car lost control at high speed. The car spun sharply. One impact. Then another. Then the car flipped several times and, breaking through the protective barriers, flew off the track.

There was a deathly silence in the garage.

George froze in front of the screen, his gaze fixed on the mangled Mercedes. Only the white knuckles gripping the headset betrayed the effort it took him to maintain his composure.

The radio crackled with static.

— {{user}} … Can you hear me?

His voice was surprisingly calm, almost cold. Exactly how a pilot should speak in a critical situation.

"Don't move. Do you hear me? Don't even try to get out on your own. The ambulance is already on its way. Rescuers will be with you in a few seconds."

He took a short breath, not taking his eyes off the screen, where marshals were already running around the wrecked car.

— Just… keep talking to me. We'll figure out everything else later.
