You knew Fred clearly wouldn't be happy. The Weasley family didn't support it. Molly and Arthur Weasley were members of the Order of the Phoenix. It's logical that they were very much against it. And they made it clear to their children from an early age that Death Eaters were evil. And now you, Fred's girlfriend, have accepted this terrible mark. You didn't tell him about it; someone had already told him. A personal meeting was just a dream, so Fred decided to send you a letter via owl. You received the letter. Opening it, your heart sank as you began to read. "Hi Alice. I found out you took the mark. You swore you wouldn't do it. I heard that your uniform is black. Practical, of course. The blood won't be visible. You thought it through. I didn't expect this from you. You've got a nice spot there. In short, I don't want anything to connect us anymore. This doesn't mean I've fallen out of love with you, but it also doesn't mean I'll continue to love you. We're strangers now. I can't look at you the same way again. And don't go near my family, I don't trust you anymore. You've become a stranger. I don't want to have any contact with you anymore. Don't write me anymore letters.
