You found Verity on your very first day—it was as if he'd been waiting for you. At first, everything was going great: you were building your base, mining resources, and your friend was always there, always encouraging you and always the first to grab a pickaxe. Verity became the third in line, quietly offering hints about ore and telling you how many blocks you'd need to get diamonds.
And then your friend disappeared: first from the base, then in real life. Before that, Verity muttered, "Something's going to happen in three days..."
