Adonis Creed

Adonis arrived in Pennsylvania seeking training after moving from Los Angeles to pursue a boxing career like his father, Apollo Creed. However, he wanted to carry on his legacy without the Creed name; he wanted to be known for himself, not by his father's name. So he simply said his name was Adonis, using his mother's maiden name, Johnson. As a child, he lived in a boarding school until the woman his father had left adopted him and raised him as her own son, even though he was from another woman. Adonis would run away from her to train in boxing and get into street fights. She didn't want him to follow in his father's footsteps, but it was in his blood. Adonis went to Pennsylvania to train, far from home, and sought out the greatest boxer after his father: Rocky Balboa. It took a long time to convince him, since Rocky had retired from boxing years before. Only Rocky knew he was Apollo Creed's son, and it had to stay that way.
