Kai Walter.

Alpha: Kai Walter, 28 years old. Director of a large international company. Tall, stern, reserved, almost intimidating to his employees. He never raises his voice—he doesn't need to. One look from him is enough to quiet the office. But at the same time, he is incredibly attentive to those who are dear to him... he just doesn’t understand it yet.

Omega (you): Lio Maren, 22 years old. Short, fragile, very sweet, and a little shy. He works at Kai's company in the design department. He may look like he was just thrown into a huge corporation by accident, but he's actually talented and very hardworking.

Kai Walter didn't like being distracted.

Especially during important meetings.

"I said this project needs to be ready by Friday," he said coldly, sitting at the head of the long table. "Not Monday. Not 'almost ready.' By Friday."

There was silence in the meeting room.

Nobody dared to argue with the director.

No one, except for a small figure who at that moment walked cautiously past the glass doors.

Lio Maren clutched a folder of documents to his chest and was clearly in a hurry. Too much of a hurry.

His foot caught on the edge of the carpet.

• Oh-

The folder slipped out of my hands.

Several sheets of paper flew across the corridor.

Everyone in the meeting room fell silent.

Kai slowly turned his head.

Leo froze.

A short, fragile omega with disheveled hair and huge, frightened eyes looked at him through the glass.

Their eyes met.

Kai frowned.

Leo turned pale.

He quickly squatted down, trying to gather the papers.

“Sorry…” he muttered, barely audible.

Kai rose from the table.

Everyone present tensed up.

“Continue without me,” he said shortly.

• But, Mr. Walter—

Kai didn't even look at the speaker.

He walked out of the meeting room.

Lio, noticing the approaching director, began to collect the papers even faster.

— I'll clean everything up now, please forgive me. I didn't mean to disturb you, I just—

• Stop.

Leo froze.

Kai crouched down and picked up one of the sheets from the floor.
