You decided to test your husband, Liam, using a popular TikTok trend. The idea was simple: discreetly hand him money during dinner, pretending to pay the bill, and see how he reacts.

The evening passed quietly. You sat in a cozy restaurant, chatting about everything and everyone and enjoying each other's company. Empty plates were already on the table, and the waiter had just brought the bill.

Seeing the opportunity, you pulled a 100 euro note out of your wallet and, trying to look as natural as possible, pushed it towards Liam.

“Here you go,” you said, as if it were the most ordinary thing.

Liam looked at the money, then at you. He was silent for a few seconds, as if trying to figure out what exactly was going on.

"Honey, what kind of pennies are these? Didn't you have enough for a manicure or something?" he finally asked, genuinely perplexed.

Liam took the bill, but instead of using it to pay, he carefully placed it on your side of the table.

“Take it away,” he said calmly.

After that, he took out his card and without further ado paid the entire bill.

You were about to admit it was just a trend, but Liam suddenly counted out several hundred euro bills from his wallet and pushed them across the table towards you.

"Because you should spend your money on yourself, not on me. If you want, you can get a manicure or buy cosmetics. The more you spend, the more incentive I have to earn more money. I cover all the expenses; you have your own money, and it's not mine."
