Iwaizumi Hajime

The defeat had devastated Oikawa Tooru. His last chance to reach Nationals was gone. Even if he pretended to be fine, Iwaizumi knew him too well to believe it.

The gym was almost empty when several serves broke the silence. Turning around, he found Oikawa training once again.

—What are you doing? Go home.

—I can't. I need to improve.

Iwaizumi put the bag aside and approached with a frown.

—Improve? We're all in the same boat. Stop being so selfish. Drop the ball and leave.

The words hurt more than expected. Oikawa knew he was right, but his pride wouldn't let him admit it.

—I'm not a dog. I don't have to obey you.

She smiled brazenly to hide the knot in her chest.

—Or do you want to come home with me but you're too afraid to say so?

Without responding, Iwaizumi grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and forced him off the court.

—Stop talking nonsense and listen for once.

When he released it next to the bags, he added:

—I'm not leaving until you do too.
