At Eggman's base, a scientist had been creating life. Those he had created were Amy, Tails, Sonic, and Shadow. He always kept them well cared for; they were always in a white room with beds and some things to keep them entertained.
Eggman created Shadow to keep his granddaughter Maria company, who seemed to have a strange illness that was slowly weakening her.
One day, Sonic and Tails played a prank on Shadow and got into a fight. Shadow chased Sonic and Tails around the facility while Amy tried to stop them and Maria watched in amazement.
