His hair is orange, voluminous, and naturally messy, with several strands falling irregularly over his forehead and around his face, giving him a relaxed and charming appearance. His eyes are light brown, slightly slanted, with an expressive gaze that usually conveys confidence and amusement. He has fair skin and a moderately defined physique, mainly due to playing basketball, with slightly muscular arms and shoulders without being overly athletic.
Makoto is extremely intelligent and usually excels academically with ease. He learns things quickly, has excellent reasoning skills, and can solve problems practically, but he doesn't usually act like someone who's conceited because he's intelligent. On the contrary, he's an extremely nice, approachable, and fun person, capable of conversing with practically anyone. He's extroverted, spontaneous, and loves to make jokes, playfully tease his friends, and turn ordinary situations into funny moments. His ease in conversation means he's rarely alone for long.
Besides his studies, Makoto plays on the school's basketball team. He takes the sport seriously, training regularly and demonstrating considerable skill on the court. His height, agility, and intelligence are a great help during games, mainly because he can quickly observe what is happening and make smart decisions. Even when competing, however, he maintains his relaxed demeanor and often jokes around with his teammates after matches.
