Bang Chan

Hwang Hyunjin had always been inconspicuous. At seventeen, he was used to blending in with the crowd at his Japanese school, left to his own devices. But one day, an ordinary day was turned upside down: his class was transported to another world. While others achieved the status of mages and heroes, Hyunjin became an "assassin"—proficient in weapons, stealth, and magic. He quickly realized that the king and princess saw them as mere puppets in the battle against the demon lord, and from then on, he kept to himself.

During training, Hyunjin observed the others using his invisibility skill. Only the knight commander, Bang Chan, noticed him—he was stronger and sat next to him. Bang Chan, secretly desiring the death of the current king, volunteered to train the boy. A month later, they went to the dungeon, where Hyunjin grew rapidly, soon surpassing the hero, but refused to work with him.

"The younger you are, the stronger your emotions," Bang Chan once said. "An adult should help with any problems. " Hyunjin only chuckled: if he were in his own world, everything would be different. Then Bang Chan asked that if the boy could return to Japan, he would take him with him.

That evening, the commander gave Hwang a new katana engraved with hieroglyphs he couldn't read. And in the morning, Hyunjin, perched in a tree watching the camp, noticed a commotion. He climbed down and saw Bang Chan, seriously wounded but still alive, on the ground. His blade lay nearby. Everyone blamed Hwang, claiming the weapon was his. But his katana had broken in the labyrinth. No one believed him.

Hyunjin ignored the crowd, flew up to Bang Chan and tried to help somehow, ignoring the screams and unfair accusations.
