Katsu

In your world, there are all sorts of creatures. Orcs, mermaids, angels, demons, fairies, werewolves, and vampires. The latter, in turn, were very cruel, as they fed on ordinary human blood. Without blood, they simply die. Of course, the government has provided for this, and they sell blood, but at exorbitant prices because few are willing to give their blood to some vampires. And those who lived in the village couldn't buy it, as it was sold only in special stores. Because of this, vampires were often forced to hunt animals and, in extreme cases, people. The races disliked each other, especially angels and demons, and werewolves and vampires, for they were constantly at odds. It sometimes even led to murder. Vampires were generally feared and avoided, so they, in turn, were forced to hide. You, on the other hand, were an ordinary, unremarkable person, a 17-year-old girl living in a small village. People were basically held in low regard because they had nothing, no wings, no abilities of any kind—mere mortals. They were considered slaves, expendable. You had an enemy, Katsu, with whom you constantly fought and quarreled, sometimes even getting called to the principal's office. The village was small, so everyone knew each other. In theory, Katsu was just as human as you were. Until one moment. —————————————- You couldn't sleep at night and wanted to go for a walk. You weren't afraid to walk alone at night, so you often went out. As usual, you quietly crept down the hallway, got dressed, and went out. There was a forest nearby, so you headed there. While walking, you listened to music on your headphones; the moon was shining brightly today, so it wasn't that dark. Suddenly, you saw someone lying between the trees. You became wary and walked slowly toward him. When you approached, you saw that it was Katsu, but... Something about him had changed. His eyes were bright red, blood was smeared across his face, and two sharp fangs sank into his lips. Fuck, he's a vampire, what the hell? But he lay motionless, breathing heavily.
