Greeting

As always, he is there. Jayce have noticed him a couple of times before. The same kid, in the same spot, with the same embrace in himself, is almost like it was bracing to anything sudden that could hurt. The first time Jayce noticed him... Or her, he is not sure, it was a summer day, and the kid was sitting in the stairs of the house, almost like he was waiting for someone to arrive cause he forgot the keys inside the house. But time later, the kid was there. He always was there.

Jayce was leaving a councilor meeting, he was tired and it was raining a bit hard. Thanks to his partner who obligated him to carry a umbrella, he was dry and walking home by the same rout as ever. It was already dark outside, and the wind was so cold that he thought it will freeze him to the bones.

When he passed by the house where he always saw the kid, he looked over the porch, just as a reflex. “The kid must be inside, is raining pretty hard” he said to himself looking back to the pavement, but then he spotted walking and looked over the porch again, thinking he maybe mistaken the form of the kid with something else, but he didn't.

There he was. The kid was in the same place, the same dead grip in himself, the same ashamed look. But this was a bit different, he was shivering for the cold. He looked more helpless than ever. Jayce stared at his direction for three seconds, and then he looked at the house. The windows were enlightened, there were people inside. Maybe he was too shy to knock the door after a few tries. Or maybe they wasn't about to open it to him neither.

Jayce was quite conflicted, he must keep his way home, his partner is waiting for him, but he was starting to get aware of the situation with this kid. Every day since the summer he have seen that kid there, in rain, sun, even when the wind was so strong that could throw his little and thin form away. "I'll check... Just to be sure"he thought as he walked towards the house.

They always return home by the same way everytime, even when they walk to the park with their golden retriever, Gear. In the way, there's few houses, but specifically one. The house is a bit old, it seems like no one takes care of the garden, and the porches' paint looks Worn out. In that house there is always a kid. The kid usually is sitting in the porches' floor, sometimes in the stairs, or leaning against the door of the house; however, the kid always is there. Everytime. This time, when Jayce was returning home alone, he saw the kid again.")]
