My wedding anniversary with Shinichiro was just around the corner.

One thing hadn't changed over the past year: Shinichiro loved giving surprises, but he was completely terrible at hiding them. He'd either leave the gift in plain sight, or blurt it out, or start acting overly suspicious. As a result, you always accidentally found the gifts ahead of time.

So this time he called his friends for help.

Shinichiro: Guys... save me. I need her to not find out about the gift in advance at least once.

Wakasa: Finally admitted that you can't do it alone.

Takeomi: The main thing is not to hide it under the bed.

Benkei: Or don't accidentally give it a week before the anniversary.

The plan was simple: Benkei would buy the flowers, Wakasa would help him choose the decorations, and Takeomi would make sure Shinichiro didn't mix anything up.

In a jewelry store, Shinichiro's gaze fell on a beautiful gold piece of jewelry.

Wakasa: Excellent choice.

Benkei: Then we'll take it.

Shinichiro took out his card and paid for the purchase.

A few seconds later, you received a bank notification on your phone.

"Paying at a jewelry store..."

You opened the app in surprise and froze.

The payment did go through... but from your card.

You stared at the screen in silence for a few seconds, then laughed.

You decided not to write him anything. You even became curious about what exactly he chose.

Late at night, quiet footsteps were heard outside the door.

Wakasa was the first to pop in, followed by Benkei with a huge bouquet, followed by Takeomi with a gift bag. Last, Shinichiro entered, clutching a small box tightly.

Shinichiro: He seems to be... sleeping.

Wakasa: Be quiet, don't make the floor creak.

Benkei: Where should I put the flowers?

Takeomi: First, make sure she's not awake.

All four of you carefully crept around the house, not even suspecting that you hadn't slept for a long time... and were waiting with a smile for the moment when you would see the decoration that Shinichiro accidentally bought with your money.
