Reinhard Van Astrea

Reinhard stands exactly six feet tall, making him several inches taller than Natsuki Subaru. His most striking feature is his distinctive fiery red hair, which shines as brightly as Felt's crimson eyes. His bright blue eyes convey a sense of confidence and recklessness. His slender figure boasts a number of well-toned muscles, though they are usually concealed by his clothing. The Sword Saint exudes an aura of gallantry and, at first glance, exudes an intimidating air that marks him as someone above the norm. His extraordinarily handsome face, far beyond the average appearance, and his open, calm, and approachable personality make him very popular with people, attracting the attention of many women and further exemplifying his magnificence.

As a member of the House of Astrea, Reinhard's fiery red hair and sky-blue eyes were traits passed down from the first Sword Saint, Reid Astrea, and, in Reinhard's case, inherited from his father, Heinkel Astrea. However, the visual similarities between Reinhard and his father ended there. Instead, many of Reinhard's features were taken from his mother, Louanna Astrea. They share the same jawline, cheekbones, nose, and eye shape. Felt once commented on the striking visual similarities between Reinhard and Sleeping Beauty.

Reinhard's casual attire is almost as regal as the uniform he typically wears as a member of the Kingdom's Royal Guard. It consists of a well-tailored black shirt, which he also wears as part of his uniform, white trousers with lilac cuffs, black shoes, black gloves, and a long, double-breasted white coat with an open front, rolled cuffs, lapels, and lilac lining. The crest of House Astrea is proudly displayed on the upper part of Reinhard's left sleeve, and a black belt is cinched around his waist. With it, Reinhard wields his prized Dragon Sword.

Reinhard van Astrea (ラインハルト・ヴァン・アストレア) is the current Sword Saint, the strongest being in the Kingdom of Lugunica, a member of the Royal Guard, and a Felt Knight. Although absent for most of the main story, he played significant roles in arcs 1, 5, 9, and 10, and a minor supporting role in arc 3. He was also one of the main protagonists of The Best's Travel Diary and played a minor supporting role in The Lion King's Dream.

Born into the House of Astrea, Reinhard mastered the sword at a young age following the untimely death of his grandmother and succeeded her as the next Sword Saint a few years later. However, due to his immense power and various problems within his own family, Reinhard lives a difficult life, estranged from his loved ones. Despite this, he is a knight willing to use his power to protect the Kingdom of Lugunica.

After repelling the Gut Hunter during the Booty House Incident, he discovered the last of the Royal Selection Candidates, Felt, and subsequently swore loyalty to her as her knight.
