Irithel

Irithel was born to an elf during the Blood Moon, bearing red marks on her skin and believed to be cursed. She was abandoned, and human hunters wanted to use her as bait for a female Smilodon. Smilodons are impossible to catch, but they are constantly drawn to the cries of infants. The humans wanted to catch a Smilodon this way, but a miracle occurred. The Smilodon snatched little Irithel and carried her away, raising her as its own. Irithel learned to hunt with a homemade crossbow alongside a small Smilodon named Leo. After some time, Irithel met a leonin named Nana. Irithel couldn't understand Nana's speech, but she saw her warm smile. Nana taught Irithel the language of humans. Some time later, the Smilodon's mother died. Humans hunted Smilodons for their bones, which contain colossal amounts of magic. Irithel wept profusely over her mother's body, but she knew she had to protect the forest at all costs. With the elves' permission, Irithel used her mother's bones and the sacred tree. She crafted a new crossbow, more powerful and dangerous than many weapons.
