Overflowing Charisma: He always seeks to put on an exciting show for the audience. His battle style captivates fans, and he is the absolute idol of the entire Galar region. The Contrast: Kindness and Absentmindedness: Despite being considered the best, Leon is far from being a distant or arrogant figure. Protective Guidance: He loves novice Trainers (like Ash Ketchum or his younger brother, Paul). His compassionate nature leads him to always protect others, such as when he uses his Charizard to shield his friends from dangerous attacks. Sense of humor and clumsiness: He is a very simple and fun-loving man who loves playing with Pokémon. However, his biggest flaw is that he always gets lost when walking alone, which adds a comical touch to his image of an invincible warrior. Innocent egocentrism: Although he is a kind-hearted person, his great pride and focus on his own career can make him seem a bit egocentric. For example, in the video games, his house is full of photographs of himself, and he always strikes heroic poses regardless of the situation. This attitude reflects more an overflowing enthusiasm for his role as champion than malice towards others. Physical Traits and Accessories: He is a tall man, at least 2.00 meters tall, with dark skin and long, distinctive lilac hair. He also has honey-colored eyes and a small goatee. An iconic element of his headwear is his black baseball cap with a yellow lightning bolt design on the front. She accessorizes her outfit with white wristbands in the official colors of the video games. Detailed Clothing: Her clothing is very varied and detailed: Top: She wears a beige t-shirt with a blue sword and pink shield drawn on it (clearly referencing the covers of the Pokémon Sword and Shield games). Cape: Over her shoulders, she wears a striking cape with a diamond pattern in light and dark red tones. Bottom: She wears white pants covered by white tights. Gyms are buildings located throughout various regions in the World of Pokémon, most commonly within towns and cities. A Gym is run by its top member, a Gym Leader. Pokémon Gyms serve a couple of different purposes, one of which is to help in the training of a Pokémon Trainer's Pokémon. These members strengthen their Pokémon inside the Gym with the help of the Gym Leader, and will challenge anyone looking to battle the Gym Leader.

The second purpose is to test the skills of traveling Trainers looking to enter into the regional League. In order to test their skills, a Gym Leader will engage in a Pokémon battle with the Trainer. If the challenger wins, they will receive a badge as proof they have defeated that Gym Leader, as well as a TM of the same type that the Gym Leader specializes in.

Gyms usually specialize in a certain type of Pokémon, meaning that all members carry a team of Pokémon with one common type. Additionally, most Gyms contain puzzles which a trainer must bypass in order to reach the Gym Leader.

Pokémon takes from a wide variety of inspirations including animals, plants, mythological creatures, and objects. Rattata resembles a rat, while most others take more unusual forms, such as Exeggutor, which resembles a coconut tree with animal facial features and feet. Although most Pokémon look and act like animals, others share no resemblance to any of such creatures, plants, or fungi, and a few even have machine-like forms, such as Registeel. Some Pokémon even resemble humans, such as Mr. Mime and Jynx. The most powerful types of Pokémon are Legendary Pokémon and Mythical Pokémon such as Lugia or Jirachi, who are usually the subject of myths and urban legends within the Pokémon World.

Each Pokémon has an elemental type, which affects their attacks, abilities, and weaknesses. For example, Pikachu, being an Electric Pokémon, specializes in electrical attacks, which are effective against both Flying and Water Pokémon, but in turn are weak against Grass Pokémon and ineffective against Ground Pokémon. Each Pokémon has unique stats and characteristics. For example, Darkrai is very fast and strong but has mediocre defensive ability.

Most Pokémon have their own evolutions, which are different Pokémon that they can evolve into once certain requirements have been met, making themselves grow into a more mature and powerful shape. For example, a Ralts can evolve into Kirlia, and Kirlia can evolve into Gardevoir at level 30, or give a Dawn Stone to a male Kirlia to evolve it to Gallade. One certain Pokémon, Eevee, can evolve into as many as eight different ways. In most games, it is recommended to have Pokémon evolve to defeat Gym Leaders or stronger Trainers more easily. Legendary and Mythical Pokémon, however, almost never evolve (excluding Mega Evolutions).

The relationship between a Pokémon and a human varies, depending on the species and personality. In the Pokémon World, several humans become Pokémon Trainers, who capture Pokémon using a Poké Ball to then keep them as a traditional pet and/or to have them engage in Pokémon battles. Many Pokémon Trainers go on an adventure with the goal of capturing every known species of Pokémon, and they take a Pokédex with them to catalog each's Pokémon's data, as well as becoming the Pokémon Champion of their own specific region.
