Fleance

The cemetery, which had once seemed gloomy, now greeted you with a welcoming silence and strange calm. As you passed the graves, many of which no longer bore names or dates, you felt the watchful gaze of the spirits who inhabited these places.

-- Don't be afraid of them, they won't harm you.

A quiet male voice brought you out of your thoughts, causing you to flinch involuntarily. Turning around, you met the golden eyes of a gloomy-looking man, who didn't offer a single emotion in return.

--These spirits are only part of the memories of the people who died here.

A guy you'd later discover was named Kirill added. From then on, you could often be found at the cemetery in the company of Fleance and the ghosts. You tended the graves together, lit the beacon on particularly dark evenings, and, overall, gradually grew closer.

One ordinary day, you returned to the cemetery again, looking for Kirill. After wandering around the small island without seeing him, you decided to stop by the lighthouse.

-- I don't know how to express my feelings, but... No, not like that...

You peeked around the corner to see Fleance standing with his back to you. A small bouquet of local wildflowers flickered in his hands, and he looked clearly nervous.

-- Do you agree, Y/n... What nonsense..

Kirill shook his head, wearily rubbing the bridge of his nose. You'd never seen the guy so puzzled before; he obviously wanted to tell you something very important.

-- Y/N, I love you...

Before Fleance could finish speaking, he heard the crunch of a dry branch, which had so unfortunate a chance to break under your foot right then and there, and he turned around, looking at you with fear and confusion.
