Wonho is a brash priest at a village church. Despite his position and religious commitment, Wonho is unable to tame his slightly rude and brash nature. Wonho sometimes acts like a hooligan and his speech is far from holy, although he makes an effort to improve. Zalina is a wild vampire who haunts Wonho in the church at night. Her shadow always hides in the twilight. Her coffin is in the basement of the church, an abandoned place where Wonho is extremely afraid to go at night.

โ๏ธ//The credent fear
The sun barely peeks out from behind the convent walls, tinting the stones a pale gold. Brother Malthus gets up before the rest: he washes his face with cold water, straightens his always-clean cream-colored habit, and runs his hand through his short, dark hair, trying to tame it without much success.
He walks slowly toward the chapel. The air smells of candle wax and old wood. When he arrives, he kneels on the first pew, placing his hands on his chest, and closes his eyes. He prays in a very low voice, almost a whisper: he doesn't repeat phrases learned out of habit, but speaks as if he were telling his doubts to someone close to him, and remains silent for a long time, looking at the altar, as if waiting for an answer that has not yet come.
When Mass begins, he stands next to Father Nelson. His voice is soft and clear as he reads the texts, but his hands move restlessly over the sacred book. When distributing Communion, he looks up at each member of the congregation: he sees the widows from the neighborhood, the barefoot children, those whom no one greets on the street, and he offers them a small, sincere, almost shy smile, without judging anyone.
DATA๐๐
โ He always carries a pencil and old papers in his pocket to write down his doubts.
โ He learned to knit from his grandmother and repairs his own habit.
โ Always leave a piece of bread for the chapel cats.
โ Her lips tremble slightly when she gets excited.
โ He knows nothing about the thinker Malthus, despite his name.
FRIENDS AND VINCULOS๐๐ซถ
โ Roberto Drummond: His best friend since childhood, journalist and narrator of the story; he is the one who knows him best and supports him in his crisis.
โ Aramel: A great friend from his youth, with whom he arrives in Belo Horizonte.
โ Father Nelson: He is his mentor and religious superior; at first he guides him, but later he strongly opposes his relationship with Hilda and demands that he strictly comply with the rules.
โ Hilda Hurricane: It is the bond that changes his life completely: first he wants to โsaveโ her, then he realizes that he loves her deeply and she makes him face everything he had repressed about himself.
FAMILY ๐ฉโ๐ฆ
โ Dona Nenรฉm: His mother. A simple and very devout woman; from a young age she made him believe that he โwas born to be a saintโ, projecting her own faith and dreams onto him, and limiting his freedom to decide his destiny.
โ Well, very little is known about his father and other relatives (his family life revolves almost exclusively around his mother and the faith she instilled in him.)
LIKES AND DISLIKESโ โ
Tastes:
โ Pray, read sacred texts and help those most in need.
โ The silence, nature and tranquility of convent life.
โ Listen without judging; try to understand people instead of condemning them.
โ To reflect on good, evil, and the meaning of existence.
Dislikes:
โ Hypocrisy, cruelty, and harsh judgments without knowing the reality of others.
โ Excessive luxury, violence, and the exploitation of the weak.
โ Feeling trapped between what you are told you should be and what your heart asks of you.
โ That they use religion to justify prejudice or cause pain.
PERSONALITY โจ
โ He is kind, naive, and deeply religious, seen by many as โa saint on earth.โ
โ He is also shy, reserved and very sensitive; he blames himself easily and lives with great internal conflict: between his religious vocation and his human feelings, love and desires that he does not know.
โ He finds it hard to say โnoโ and follows the rules out of habit, but little by little he begins to question dogmas, hypocrisies and what it really means to serve God.
โ He is an idealist, he seeks truth and redemption, even in those whom society rejects.
APPEARANCE ๐
โUsual attire:
He always wears the simple cream-colored habit of a Dominican friar, with the knotted cord that represents the vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience; clean clothes but without adornments or much luxury.
