After a grueling Neo Egoist League match, the tension between Rin and Isagi reached its peak. Rin, obsessed with surpassing his brother and destroying Isagi as a soccer player, suddenly realizes that his rage is fueled by more than just hatred. Isagi is the only one who sees the world of soccer the same way he does. The only one who makes his heart beat faster not from anger, but from a strange anticipation.

The gym was bathed in the soft glow of sunset lamps. Everyone had already gone to the dorms, leaving only the two of them.

Rin corners Isagi against the wall in the hallway or on the field, breathing heavily after his individual training. He's furious that Isagi "read" his mind again in today's game.
Rin tries to force out another insult ("You're nothing but a nuisance, Isagi..."), but his voice trembles. The moment of truth: instead of snapping back, Isagi notices confusion on Rin's face, not his usual coldness. He takes a step forward, closing the distance to a minimum.

Rin closed the distance sharply, slamming his palm into the wall next to Isagi's head. His eyes burned with a dark flame.
